Vegas Visit

Well, this last weekend Ryan's dad and brother were on their way back from Arizona and were going to stop and stay at Ryan's brother Dustin's house in St. George for a bit, so we thought we would join them, since we hadn't seen our niece and nephew Courtney and Zack for a while. My best friend Emily who lives in California was going to be in St. George that same time, so we met up for lunch on Saturday and did some catching up- since we haven't seen each other for about 3-5 years, not exactly sure how long it's been. So it was really fun to see her and her newborn baby Paisley. Ryan has been dying to take TJ to Vegas forever, so that night we took a quick visit to Vegas and showed TJ the M&M and Coke Factory, as well as the lions at the MGM. We also showed him the chocolate fountain at the Belagio, as well as the Gardens, water show, and we couldn't pass up the Belagio Buffet. We wanted to take him to see the pirate show at Treasure Island but it was cancelled because of the wind, so we ended up taking him to the Golden Nugget to see the Shark Tank and light show. So it was a pretty fun weekend, especially for T since he's never really been anywhere like that before. All of us at the Belagio Buffet... notice how TJ and Ryan were both done and moving onto dessert, while I still have 2 plates of food in front of me. Ummmm? I'm eating for 2 right?

Viva Las Vegas

This last weekend Ryan and I decided we've had enough of the cold and thought it might be fun to take a trip down south to get away from the snow. So we picked up our friends Kelly and Melissa in Salt Lake and drove to Vegas. Kelly and I had never been to Hoover Dam so we went there first thing in the morning. It really was pretty amazing. Although I think the bridge they are building is almost even more amazing, It's not even half way done and I just can't fathom how they're going to finish it. So, after Hoover Dam we headed over to the Golden Nugget to hang out by the pool. We all wanted to get some rays, but were a little paranoid since we haven't seen the sun forever, so we loaded on the sun block and didn't really end up getting anything. It was still so nice just to sit in the sun and relax. Soon the sun was gone and we headed back to get ready for the night. We had some dinner at The Cheesecake Factory and walked through the Belagio Gardens and saw the water show. Even after eating our cheesecake for dessert, for some reason we thought we still needed to stop at Neilson's Frozen Custard and get a shake. So, it was a pretty fun weekend getting away since we still have snow here in Bear Lake. I just hope it warms up fast- or else we may be needing to take more trips down south.

6 MONTHS

Today is my 6 month/24 week appt. It is so crazy that I'm already that far along! It's been fun watching my belly grow and feeling the baby kick and move, now Ryan can feel the baby and it's fun to talk about what we may be having. As most of you know Ryan and I aren't finding out. We thought it'd be fun to have it be a surprise! However, it's fun to try and guess and hear what people think. I've taken a few tests and most have said it's a girl, but I just took this quiz today that said I have a 59% chance of having a boy. What do you think? I started a poll so you can vote for yourself. Ryan and I will be very happy with either. At first we thought we were going to have a little Landon, now we're thinking there may be a Sara in there. (Those are the names we've chosen :)These were some of the reasons it could be a boy or girl:
Reasons it could be a Boy......Reasons they say it could be a Girl
I am carrying the baby low...................Ryan hasn't been gaining weight with me...

I prefer the heel of the bread...............My nose hasn't changed during the pregnancy.

My Mom has gray hair...........................I have been craving fruits.

I didn't have morning sickness..............My baby's heartbeat is 140 beats per minute, or more.
