Our Itsy Bitsy Spider

Introducing . . . Sara the Spider!

Now, you have to admit- that's probably the least scariest spider you've ever seen. I know it's the cutest spider I've ever seen! We carved Sara her first pumkin and got her in her costume last night to take some pics. I know I always brag about what a smiley baby she is but she just wouldn't smile. (Maybe she was trying to be scary in her costume.) I'm sure we'll take more tonight, but I just had to post some pics of our itsy bitsy spider since it is Halloween. Have a Happy Halloween everyone!

Halloween Weekend

Whitney, Ty, Kelly, Dave, Ryan, Me, Kelly, Melissa, Jordan, Craig and Nekell
This last weekend was our traditional Halloween get together with friends. Every year we have friends up to Bear Lake to celebrate Halloween by playing games, watching a scary movie and carving pumpkins.
We usually do it at my parent's cabin but thought it'd be fun to rent out a different cabin this year. It was a big cabin with 7 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, a ping pong table and a hot tub. So it was fun being able to fit everyone comfortably, and the guys couldn't get enough of the ping pong table.
Ryan discovered playing doubles ping pong and thought it was the greatest thing ever.
Almost everyone carved pumpkins this year, Kelly Hansen always manages to do an interesting pumpkin and Ryan usually thinks of something creative. This year he did a guy in jail- it's kind of hard to tell from the pictures but I thought it was really cool!
It really was a lot of fun to have all of our friends together and wish we could do it more often. It gets a harder every year with everyone starting their families and careers. Hopefully it will continue though :)

Smiley Sara

Well, you knew it wouldn't be long before I blogged about Sara again. She is seriously the happiest little girl! I love it when she smiles and can't help but grab the camera to snap a pic. So, I thought I'd post a few pictures of our smiley Sara... She's always happy to go see Daddy at his work...She's even happy when she's all buckled up in her carseat...
And I'm not sure how much I like this one- she looks so big! She's only 3 months, not a year!
I have so many more pictures of her smiling, but I'm sure you can only look at so many before you get sick of them right? Well, maybe not you Grammy and Papa Goodrich :) Don't worry, I'll post more another day!

catching up on being tagged...

Well, I've been tagged a few times but have been too busy posting pictures of Sara to do them. But- I got a threat that if I didn't complete this tag I would no longer be Jessica's friend, so- I better do it! Ha ha!

Picture Tag
So, I am supposed to post the 4th picture in my file folder and I guess, explain a little about it...

This is a picture of Ryan and I in beautiful Hawaii. We went there on vacation just before we got married with my Mom and Dad and thought it'd be fun to take our engagements there. Well, if any of you know me- you know I have the worst luck. My Dad has always had a really nice camera and took my brother Ty's engagements and my sister Tawnya's so I thought I could save myself a little money and have him take mine as well. Well, we got to Hawaii and got ready to take the first picture but the camera wouldn't work. Yup, it was broken- so... you'll never guess what we did. Oh yeah, we just went and bought a good ol' disposable camera and took our engagement pictures with it. How sick is that!? So, if any of you are wondering why our engagements weren't the greatest, that's why. Anyway- back to the picture... this picture was actually my favorite because we could use it without having to crop or zoom in, but Ryan thought it looked like we took it in front of the Jordan River, said you couldn't even tell we were in Hawaii so... we didn't end up using it.

Baptism, Blessing and a Baby

This last weekend was a pretty busy one, and really special too! We started it off by heading down to Salt Lake Friday and spending the night. Saturday morning Cathie and I went to Ryan's cousin, Kamber's baby shower. I wish I would have taken some pictures because it really was one of the most amazing showers ever! (Well, besides mine of course ;) Everything was homemade and they used all their nice dishes, real silverware and cloth napkins. It was so fun! Kamber is having a boy and got lots of cute stuff for him. After the shower we had my nephew, Jayce's Baptism. His Grandma Swenson has been taking him to church ever since he was little and he decided to get Baptised, so my Dad Baptised and confirmed him. It was really awesome- I'm so proud of you Jayce!

Then we headed back up to Bear Lake so we could be ready for our sweetie's Blessing Sunday morning. It really was such a good day. It was fun having all of our family up to get together for the blessing and some breakfast. Sara looked so beautiful in her little Blessing dress and of course- had to have a blow out all over it! Luckily it was after we got home from Church and it came out in the wash just fine. Thanks again for everyone who came to support us and Sara on her Blessing Day.

Finally Finished!

So, I've finally finished Sara's nursery. I had a couple requests to post some pictures of it, but I wanted to wait 'til it was all done. As you know, we didn't find out what we were having, so I tried to make the bedding neutral. So, once we found out it was a little girl I tried to girl it up a little so it actually looks somewhat like a little girl's room even though there aren't pink walls or pink baby bedding. Thanks to my sister Terra, I didn't have to buy any of my crib set. She was nice enough to just hand it down to me once she was through with it and it is still in awesome condition after going through 4 kids. She's also handed down all of her girl clothes and some baby toys. If you were to look in Sara's closet- about 3/4 of those clothes have been handed down and I love it! Sara gets so many compliments on her outfits and people ask where she got it, I almost always have to say "It was a hand me down from my sister" That's one good thing about having a sister who's done having kids :) Thanks Terra!

First Family Photos

So, as you've probably noticed... I haven't been able to get a good picture of our little family. I think we only had like 3- one of us in the hospital that was taken about 60 seconds after Sara was born, one that my friend took of us that I only have a hard copy of, and the one on are old blog header where Sara is half asleep and it kind of looked like Ryan was too. So, I thought it'd be fun to get some professional family photos taken. So I got a hold of our photographer and after a few attempts, we finally got together to get some pictures. We tried to get some of the whole family, but they didn't turn out as good as the ones of just the three of us. I'm glad I did it though 'cause there are some cute pictures of Sara, and Ryan and Sara that I probably never would have been able to take.
So, I'm still trying to decide on one photo, but am thinking I might just put three different ones up on our wall. Is that cheesy? Give me your input and let me know what you think!

Here are some cute ones of Ryan and Sara. The rest are in my blog header.
