9 months already?

Sara's Stats
Height: 27.2" = 45%
Weight: 17.9 lbs = 30%
Head: 17.7" = 75%
I can't believe Sara's 9 month appointment was yesterday! I can't believe she's going to be ONE at her next appointment! I seriously say this about every stage but I love the stage she's in right now. She is so much fun, and too funny! She still can't quite understand how to crawl. She knows how to move backwards and in circles but can not crawl forward for he life of her. She thinks she's a big time now that we put her in the cart without her carseat and thinks she's pretty tricky when she can pull herself up in her crib. I love this stage because she now knows how to show affection and there is nothing better than a big hug and kiss. I just love it! Now that she's older she rarely just lays on your shoulder, but when she does I just eat it up. We love our little Sara more than anything in this world and wouldn't trade her for anything. She really is the light of our lives and we can only hope the rest of our kids will be just as sweet as she is.

Girls Trip 2009!

A few years ago I got together with Ryan's friend's wives- or, girlfriends at the time and went on a girls trip to Newport Beach California. It was really one of the funnest trips and was so fun to just get away with the girls. So, I thought I'd try to do another one this year. The only wives that could make it were Whitney and Melissa so we invited Whitney's sister Molly along for the ride, and we're glad we did! It really was a lot of fun! We left Friday morning, started shopping when we got there and didn't stop 'til we left! Okay, so we did lay out by the pool Saturday morning for a bit and made sure our tummies were always full, but besides that we really just shopped shopped shopped! I tried talking the girls into a pedicure or a movie but trying to get everyone to agree on one thing was nearly impossible! The only thing we could ever agree on was more shopping. So we seriously shopped our lives away and had a blast laughing at Melissa's hunt for a restaurant that didn't exist, our matching shirts, Molly's craving for a Big Hunk (not a man, but the candy bar), me talking in my sleep, and the Travelocity gnome commercial. We really did have a heck of a time and need to try and do more than one every 4 years! Maybe next time all the wives will be able to come!

Please look at all those shopping bags!!! And how sick are we trying to pull a funny face? Thanks again guys for such a fun trip! We'll have to do it again!

Easter Weekend

Well we had a lovely Easter weekend. We started off our weekend by each going with our friends on Friday night. Ryan took a trip to Wendover and I went with my friend Teisha to do dinner, shopping and a movie. Then Saturday Ryan and I did some shopping during the day and colored some eggs with the Goodrich's that night. Then we got a visit from the Easter Bunny on Sunday. Sara loved her basket that was filled with a stuffed animal, bath toys, baby einstein DVD, and her Easter outfit.
After church Sunday morning I thought I'd try and get a picture of Sara in front of Grandpa's pretty flowers he's planted in the backyard. But, she was so intrigued with the grass it was hard enough to get her to look and even harder to get her to smile! It was like she's never sat on grass before and I actually think this was probably her first time.

My parents invited the whole fam over for an Easter dinner Sunday night. I love getting together with everyone from my family so much because now that all of us are getting families of our own, it's not easy getting everyone together. We were still missing a few people but there's nothing like a family dinner with everyone (or almost everyone).

Sara got to see her close cousins Alyvia and Gwenivere. She absolutely loves both of them, but their not so sure about her. I don't think they like Sara trying to grab and kiss them.

So that was our fun filled weekend! It really was so much fun and can't wait 'til next year when Sara is a little older and might know what's going on. Hope everyone had a Happy Easter!
