She's Finally Here!

I know she came three days early but I swear it seems like I was pregnant for like a year! Sara Emily Goodrich was born on July 23rd 2008 at the Logan Regional Hospital. She weighed 6 lbs 14 oz and was 19 inches long. It was about 5:00 am Wednesday morning when I thought I either peed my pants or my water broke because it wasn't a big gush like you see in the movies. Ryan didn't really believe me at first but when it wouldn't stop, we headed to the hospital. (Well, not before we stopped and got a chocolate donut for breakfast- I was starving!) So I think I waited a little bit too long to ask for the epidural because my contractions were quite painful. Then the epidural took like an hour to kick in and I was hating life for a little bit, but once it kicked in I was A-Okay and the delivery went really good from there. I was so happy to see our little girl born with 10 tiny toes and 10 little fingers. She is just perfect, and I never realized I could love someone I barely knew so much! The doctors wanted us to stay two nights because they were worried about me having an infection and it looked like Sara was getting jaundice. So we came home Friday afternoon and introduced Sara to her knew home and other family member Chief. The Doctor was still worried about jaundice so we had to take her in the the Bear Lake Hospital in Montpelier to get tested. Unfortunately she had it and we had to put her on this biliribbon bed all day and night, but after getting her tested again today, she's going to be okay.

So, I don't have Internet at home yet- but I thought some of you may be dying to see pictures and what not, so we came to work to make a quick post and let you all know about our new little girl Sara. Hopefully we'll be getting Internet at home here soon so I can keep everyone updated.
