We're Back!

And hating every minute of it! Just kidding, but really- to think we went from 90 degree weather to negative 10. I promise that is what our truck said it was this morning and I couldn't have been more upset. Everyone was ready to go home but me! My brother and sisters missed their kids and home- which is understandable, but Ryan and I didn't come back to either of those :( We came back to the freezing temperature of Bear Lake and work. Now, I don't want to sound like a grumpy gus. It really was such a fun trip and I'm so glad we got to go! It was so nice to have almost our whole family there to do everything together.

The first couple nights we were at sea, and that's when we had our first formal night. During the days the girls would just lay out and the guys would either play basketball, volleyball or swim.
Our first stop was San Juan, Puerto Rico. We got there at 2:00 and just all did our own little thing which was pretty much shopping, so that was fun while it lasted. Our second stop I think was St. Thomas. (I may get these out of order so sorry) Here, we went to one of the most beautiful beaches in the world Maegan's Bay. It was really pretty! We all took a swim in the ocean and then rented some double kayaks and went kayaking for an hour. It really was so awesome! After getting some lunch, we had our bus driver stop on the way back and we got some delicious shakes. Then I think we just did some shopping, we went shopping like at every stop so I get confused what we did where.

Our next stop was St. Maarten where we went to another private beach and did some snorkeling. Ryan had never done it before, so he was loving life. Then I believe we took our bus back to the main part of town and ate lunch and did some more . . . shopping :)

Now, Our next stop was Tortola. This was one of my favorite stops. We went on a little excursion called the "baths" where we had to hike through these little baths and caves that brought us to this awesome beach with clear water and perfect white sand. It really was so awesome.
So then we had another day at sea where we had our second formal night and just kind of chilled on the boat.

Our last and final stop was Nassau, Bahamas. Here we went to Atlantis and saw one of the most amazing aquariums in the world. It was such a beautiful place, I would love to go there on vacation. Then on our way back to the ship we did some more . . . shopping :) Got our last few souvenirs and called it a day.

During our days and nights that were on the boat, our family tried to get into as many competitions and games as we could. My brother-in-law Chaz won a game called "Fruit in the Suit" and Ty, Mike and Chaz were undefeated in basketball. Almost everyone went dancing at the disco club one night, and Ryan and I were chosen to play on the "Love and Marriage" game show. We actually did pretty well for newlyweds, but of course the couple that had been married the longest won. It was kind of embarrassing having to answer all those personal questions in front of my whole family, but really funny.

All in all, it was an amazing trip. It really was so fun and I'm so glad I got to spend that time with my family. Thanks dad for planning such a fun trip for us. That really was one of the best vacations ever!

Hey, it's great to see some pics of the trip! It looks like you guys had a blast. Last year, we had the same experience going from perfectly warm to perfectly freezing-no fun at all.

Man you are lucky...what a fun trip! I would die to go on a cruise! Thanks for your nice comment...I took a photo class in college but was never seriously loving it until the last year or so. I decided I wanted to get into so I bought a digital/slr camera and started taking pics all the time for fun! I got the Canon Rebel XTi. I love it. It's one of the cheapest digital/slr cameras out there...and takes great pics. It's a definite bang for your buck if you're interested. I got mine at Costco...and worth every penny!!

You guys almost had the same itinerary that we had! It looks like you had so much fun. It's so hard to come back from such a beautiful place, but at least we got a little bit of a break from the cold. How did you do being pregnant on the cruise? You absolutely amazing!

We were on the Serenade of the Seas. When I saw your pictures, I thought the same thing, that our ships looked really similar. I hope all is well with everything!
