Sara's First Trip and New Cousins

This last weekend Ryan and I were planning to go to Vegas to visit our new niece Mary because we thought she may be home from the hospital. Well, it turned out she had to stay a few more days, but we thought since we were already planning to go down, we could go visit and make a trip out of it. So Ryan got us some tickets for the play Les Miserables at Tuacahn and we headed down to St. George Friday morning. We stayed in St. George Friday night and headed to Vegas Saturday morning. We had to first make a stop at The Belagio to eat some breakfast at their cafe, then we went to the hospital to visit baby Mary.
Feel free to take a peek at my brother and sister-in-law's blog titled "Dustin and Stacie" it will explain in detail why Mary had to be taken 6 weeks early by C-Section. To sum it up, my sister-in-law Stacie got something really rare that the doctors had to research to find out what it was because they have never even heard of it. Come to find out, only 40 women have ever been diagnosed with it and the majority of them lost their baby and some lost their own lives as well. Stacie and Mary were both very VERY lucky. We like to call Mary our miracle baby because it really is a miracle that she is here today and we are so very grateful that they are both doing better now. So we were pretty glad we got to see Mary even though she is still in the hospital, she doesn't have anymore tubes in her and is SO cute! She has tons of dark thick hair and looks like her brother Zack. I have never seen a baby with so much hair in my life, I love it! Here is a picture of our precious niece. I wish I would have gotten one with her eyes open 'cause she looks SO cute!So after seeing Mary, we drove back to St. George just in time for the play. We thought since Sara was so good at the Demolition Derby she should do just fine at the play. Which I think she would have if they would have let us keep her in her car seat, but car seats weren't allowed, so it was hard trying to hold her the whole time finding a position that was comfortable for her, but she did okay. Some people were nice about it, others were mean but that's alright. The play was really good. I definitely recommend seeing it if you haven't already.

Sunday morning we headed home because we had to go get Chief and we wanted to see our other new niece Gwenivere. Sara was so good in the car on the way there and back, we just had to stop once each way to feed her and she just slept the rest of the time. So, when we got home we dropped off Sara at Grandma and Papa Goodrich's so she didn't need to be in her car seat anymore and headed to Tooele to see little Gwen. What a beauty she is! You can't see her too well in my picture so take a look at "Ty and Whitney's" blog, she is so cute! Looks just like her Mom.I also had to post a picture of cute Sara in her travel swing. One of the greatest inventions. As I've probably said before, Sara loves her swing at home- it is a life saver. Well, I found this cool travel swing at Babies R Us and had to get it. Just because I'm sure we'll be visiting Salt Lake a lot and for occasions like these, it's just so nice to have, and she loves it!

So that pretty much sums up our weekend. I'm so glad I had a girl because now she'll have lots of girl cousins! There is Mary on Ryan's side, and Gwenivere on my side, as well as Alyvia, Tawnya's baby, who is due in November. So exciting!

Thank you for your sweet compliment! We're so excited to get Michael's album into people's homes... So let your friends and family know about it, because it's only available online right now until we can get a distributor. Also, my sister will be so excited to hear that you liked her stuff. I think she charges $30/canvas for the names. If you want them, you can email me or call me and give us the specifics on colors and stuff.

Well, Sara has to be the sweetest little thing I've ever seen! What a joy, I'm sure, it is to have her in your home. I love your hair cut too... I've been trying to grow mine out, but it grows RIDICULOUSLY slow... so your cute haircut may inspire me to ditch the long hair and cut it again! :)

Thanks again for your sweet words! They mean the world to us!
