So, since we've moved, Sara has been sleeping in a big girl bed. So far... so good! She hasn't ever fallen out and usually doesn't have a problem laying down for naps or bedtime, and has always been a little afraid of getting off by herself...'til now. It was nice 'cause we could lay her down and if she wasn't ready for bed she's just play in her bed 'til she fell asleep. Then the other day after I laid her down for a nap, I thought I heard her get down, and sure enough she comes wandering out with the biggest smile on her face. So, I went and put her back in bed and this time I shut the door all the way 'cause she doesn't quite know how to open them yet. Sure enough, I heard her get off the bed again. I heard her struggle with the door knob a little bit and wander around, then it was finally silent. So I didn't really want to go in there in case it woke her up, so I waited about an hour and peeked in to see her dead asleep on the floor, and half way under her bed.
I felt bad seeing her sleep like that, it looked so uncomfortable! So I tried moving her into bed, but of course she woke up and was ready to go for the rest of the day. I was hoping this was a one time deal, but that night she did the same thing. She did not want to go to bed, so we had to shut the door all the way and we just waited and listened. She cried for a while but finally stopped and we assumed she was asleep on the floor again. I went in there and found her all curled up asleep on her pillow.
I really didn't want her to wake up this time, so I gave her another hour or so, and when I went in there to move her she was slowly starting to make her way under the bed.
I successfully moved her from the floor to her bed without her waking up, and I think it's only happened once since then. Pretty funny. She really does love her bed though and usually loves going down for naps- (at least when Daddy's not home) Speaking of naps, Della was taking a little nap in the swing the other day and I always like to try and get some stuff done while she's sleeping. But when I came back from doing the laundry or dishes, I found her like this.
I usually take her bows off while she naps but I guess I forgot this time. She sure didn't seem to mind. While we're on the subject of sleeping girls, I had my nieces Savannah, Chloe and Alyvia up for a sleepover Saturday night because Tawnya and Chaz are in Mexico so we got to have their girls for a night. I let Savannah and Chloe watch a movie in our bed before they had to go to sleep, (and kind of hoping they'd fall asleep while watching the movie). Sure enough, I went in there to find Chloe dead asleep and half way off the bed.
So I had to take a picture and add it along with my sleeping girls. My girls have always been good sleepers and I have always been so grateful, 'cause if you know me, you know I need my sleep. I think my girls may end up being the same way.

That is so cute! I love that when she's on her pillow with her little bum in the air! I'm not excited about moving Carson to a big bed! You're much braver than I!
