holiday weekends

It's so fun having two holidays in July just because we live in Utah. That's not the only perk. If the 4th or 24th happen to land on a Sunday, those who work get the following Monday off! Then we get to celebrate Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. Utah's awesome! We started off the 4th of July weekend up at Bear Lake. My extended family has their reunion and my side of the family usually gets together at my parents cabin. So it was fun to see some of my aunts, uncles and cousins this trip.
My dad took us boating which is always fun. We let the girls go on the tube with their cousins Savannah and Amiya. I was a little worried how they would react, but apparantly they both loved it 'cause they both fell fast asleep. So cute!
Of course we had to let Lia wear her patriotic swim suit boating and again swimming in Salt Lake. We came back Sunday night and were able to make it to the parade and breakfast on Monday morning. My girls sure looked cute in their 4th of July attire.

The 24th was a pretty fun busy day. We started it by meeting Ryan (after) he crossed the finish line of the Desseret News Marathon. (don't ask about the "after") This is his second marathon this year, and not his last! He's crazy. But I sure am proud of him! After Ryan's races, we have a little tradition of going to Over the Counter Cafe for breakfast. It's always something fun to look forward to.After breakfast we took a dip in my mom and dad's hot tub then headed home for naps. That night Great Grandma Good had a BBQ at her house. We all pitched in for some fireworks and Ryan's cousins put on their own little firework show. Sara and Della were loving it.July is always a fun month for us. Two holidays, plus Ryan and Sara's birthdays, it's a party all month long!
