Sara got to go on her first field trip last week with her preschool! They went to Black Island Farm, and I got to go with her. It started off with a hay ride behind the tractor.
The tractor took us around the farm and showed the kids their crops and told us a little about them. Then they let all the kids get off at the pumpkin patch to pick their very own pumpkin to take home! They were all still attached to the vine and there were hundreds of them! Sara found "the perfect pumpkin". After each kid picked a pumpkin we got back on the hay ride that took us back to the farm where Sara got to feed the animals.
They also had slides to slide down, tunnels to explore, a corn maze just for kids, a cow train, a pumpkin bounce house, and this ghost to play in.She was pretty much running from thing to thing just loving every minute. It definitely wore her out! She was ready to go after an hour and fell asleep in the car on the way home. She was excited to "bring Della next time". We got a free pass so I hope we'll go back before it gets too cold. It really was so fun for her and I was glad I was able to be there to share this experience with her.
