look who's 2!

 This adorable little fire ball turned 2 last week. We were in California celebrating Thanksgiving with my family at Disneyland! We went to Disneyland Wednesday and Thursday, and took a day off Friday which was Della's birthday. We thought it'd be fun to go to Downtown Disney and let the girls "build a bear" for her birthday.

 I'm sure most know the "build a bear" drill. You get to pick out whatever bear/animal you want and make it yourself. She picked out a cute bear and after stuffing it, was able to pick out a heart to put inside. It was so cute 'cause they try and make it fun by having you do all these things to the heart before putting it inside and the girls would do everything the lady told them to.

...including smelling the heart, rubbing it on your tummy, and giving it a kiss. Then the heart was ready to put inside and the bear was ready to be sewn closed. Then we got to name it and put it in a box to take home! I think she thought it was pretty fun.

 So since there wasn't really anywhere to have a party and open presents, we saved that for when we got home. She couldn't beleive all these presents were for her. She kept grabbing them and saying "oh! these are for Sara!" and would get really excited when we explained they were for her. Even when she was opening them, we would say "this one is from grammy, papa, and TJ" and she'd say "Oh! For TJ?" and go and hand her present to him.

 She thought it was really neat that she had her own cake and got to blow out the candles. She couldn't stop smiling.

  Then I had to post this picture of her on her actual birthday. I love how she fell fast asleep all snuggled up with her new bear and minnie mouse she got for Disneyland.

We sure do love you little miss Della May. So grateful you joined our family 2 years ago. I hope you had a happy happy Birthday!
