Jackson

Well, after many attempts of trying to get family and friends to come join us for a Super Bowl party this last weekend and not succeeding, Ryan and I decided we may as well try to make our weekend somewhat exciting and take a last minute trip to Jackson Hole. Our boss, (the owner of Northern Title Company) is the lead singer of a band and was playing at the Virginian Bar in Jackson Hole. So, after checking into our hotel and doing a little bit of shopping we met up with Jay and the band at Bubba's to eat some dinner. They are all really nice and seemed excited to see us. So, after some dinner we drove around looking for Cold Stone, but when we couldn't find it anywhere we settled with an ice cream sundae from McDonald's for dessert. We met some other Northern Title employees at the bar and sat with them while we enjoyed some of Jay's tunes. Their band is actually pretty good, we've seen them one other time here in Bear Lake and they sing songs by Lynard Skynard, Keith Urban, Kenny Loggins, ya know- a bunch of classics. I think Ryan and I were the only sober ones in the whole bar, besides the band of course. Even our co-workers weren't afraid to get sloshed. People aren't afraid to come up and be your best friend when they've had a beer or two and we met some interesting people in that place. It was still really fun and Ryan and I got a good laugh out of it. Once it was about 11:00 I couldn't handle the smoke anymore, so Ryan took me back to the hotel, but wanted to see Jay sing some more. He ended up hanging out with the band afterwards and didn't get back to the hotel 'til 3:00 in the morning! I bet Ryan is the only one who can say he has hung out with his boss that late. Ha ha! Anyway, I guess our weekend wasn't so bad after all. We just watched the super bowl by ourselves, which I didn't mind, but I'm sure Ryan would have liked to watch it with someone that actally knew football. I kept asking questions like, "what does that mean?" "why is it 1st and 20?" "why did they lose 10 yards?" He probably got sick of answering all of them and just wanted to enjoy the game, but was patient enough to try and explain everything to me. We bought lots of food and treats 'cause we thought we were going to have some company, so when no one ended up coming, Ryan was nice enough to still make his chicken enchiladas for just the two of us, and we didn't hesitate on eating all the snacks. So, I guess our weekend wasn't too bad spending it alone. I'm glad we got to go on a little overnight to Jackson and just have some time to ourselves- (even though we have time to ourselves every weeknight :) It was still fun. I love spending time with my hubs. So I hope you all enjoyed your super bowl weekend as much as we enjoyed ours! OH! I almost forgot! Lol You can all stop wondering if there is a Big Foot and where he is, 'cause we found him! Even though Mark and Cathie swear they saw him roaming around Paint Rocks, WY, we found him in Jackson Hole, WY. Who knows, maybe he walked all the way from Painties because look . . . we have proof!
