Lake Powell

Well, we're back- and wishing we weren't. We left last Thursday morning for Lake Powell and got home late Sunday night. It was such a fun family trip! I love how my dad is always trying to plan a family trip every summer. Last year we went to Sand Hollow- without the kids, and we can't forget our cruise in January, then this summer was Lake Powell. I'm already looking forward to our family trip next year. Anyway, we got to Lake Powell around 3:00 on Thursday and thought we'd take the boats out for an evening spin before dinner. Then Friday we woke up, had some quick breakfast and spent most of the day out on the lake. We found some cool canyons to go up and then found a small beach with some sand for the kids to play at. Just kind of took it easy, like we did the next day as well. Cruised the lake for a bit 'til we found a nice little hangout area where there weren't any other boats but ours. We spent the whole day there, taking out one boat at a time to either go wake boarding, skiing, or tubing. Then we grilled up some hot dogs right there on the boat and had some dinner and headed back to the condos. It really was so much fun and I love it when we can get almost our whole family together to do fun trips like these. Thanks Dad for such a fun trip! That really was a blast!
