Weekend Visitors

Every year we have a couple traditions with our friends where we come up to Bear Lake and get together. One is our Halloween party every October, and another is our 24 party over New Years. Well, this year we decided to start a new tradition, which is to come up to come up to Bear and go to Bloomington Lake and the Demolition Derby. It was fun having everyone up since it seems like it's been a while since we've seen them, and most of them hadn't met Sara yet. So they all got here Friday night and of course the guys had to start off the weekend with a game of Poker. The next day, the guys went golfing in the morning and when they got back, everyone headed to Bloomington Lake ... but me :( I just knew it was going to be an all day thing and didn't really feel like carrying Sara on the short hike and worrying about bugs and the sun and having to nurse, so I just stayed home with her. But it sounded like everyone had a blast. That night was the Demo Derby which I actually did go to, just brought Sara in her car seat and thank goodness she was an angel and just slept the whole time. So, it was a fun weekend with our friends up and we're already looking forward to our Halloween get together in October.Dave, McCall, Craig, Nickelle, Ryan, Melissa, and Kelly

(missing: Ty, Whitney, Noah, Jordan, Me and Sara)

And...of course I can't update our blog without posting some pictures of our little sweetie!

So, as you know Sara loves her little bath- but not as much as she loves getting in the bath with her Mom or Dad. I've gotten her in the bath with me a few times and she has absolutely loved it. So, I told Ryan he has to try it 'cause it's so fun. Ryan was getting a little embarrassed 'cause I couldn't stop snapping pictures. She just looked so cute!

And here is a picture of Sara with our life saver... the swing. I really don't know what I'd do some days without it. I mean, if I need to do the laundry or get ready or clean or whatever and she just isn't having it- I just put her in this swing and she loves it. Usually puts her right to sleep, but if not- she just likes to sit and listen to the music and watch the bees above her head.

Then here she is in her new favorite position. Ryan thinks he's so cool 'cause she was being kind of fussy and he tried putting her on her tummy on his legs and she was instantly quiet. So now every time I try he's like "It's a good thing I know our daughter so well. I'm glad I could teach you that position."

I just wake up every day so grateful to be a Mom. I've come to the realization that all I need in my life is my daughter and husband and I'll be happy. Oh...and Chief of course :)
