opposites attract

So, here's another post about my kids that's more for my records than anything. Just some things I want to remember...I can not believe how different these two are. Did I really give birth to two such opposite girls? It really is too funny and Ryan and I talk about it all the time. I just have to jot down a few of their differences 'cause it really is so crazy!

-I mean, even my pregnancies with each one was so different. I was convinced Della was a boy just 'cause it was nothing like my pregnancy with Sara.
-Sara's heart beat was always in the 160s and Della's was in the 140s.

-Della was a good newborn but hard older baby, Sara was a harder newborn and a great older baby.

-Ever since Sara was little when she'd cry she never had tears, Della's tears are always streaming down her face when she cries.

-Sara used to let these high pitched ear piercing screams when she was happy when she was about 7-8 months old, Della lets high pitched ear piercing screams when she's upset.

-Sara has always been so little and usually below average with her weight, Della has always been way above average with her weight.

-Sara has blond hair, blue eyes and fair skin, Della has brown hair, brown eyes, and dark skin.

-Sara's a total Daddy's girl, Della's a total Mommy's girl.

-Sara was saying a bunch of words and knew what all the animals said when she turned one, the only word Della knows how to say is num num (aka food).

-Sara didn't learn how to crawl 'til she was 9-10 months, Della learned at 7-8 months.

-Sara didn't learn how to walk 'til after she was a year, Della learned at 10 months.

-Sara hates to be tickled, Della loves to be tickled.

-Sara looks like Ryan's mom, and Della looks like Ryan's dad.

-Sara never liked baby food, pretty much went from bottles to regular food, Della was on baby food forever, took us a while to transition her over.

-Sara loves sweet stuff and treats. Della never eats anything sweet, she just likes the real food.

-Sara is so smiley and is easy to make laugh, it takes a lot to get Della to laugh.

-Della is terrified of strangers, Sara is not afraid to go wander around in a place full of them.

-Della is a morning person, Sara is not!

-Sara could play by herself for hours upon hours, Della usually comes dragging a book or something to me after a while.

-Sara loves movies and shows, could watch them all day every day, Della's good for about one then she's done.

-Sara has quite a bit of patience, Della...not so much.

I guess one thing they both do have in common is how much they love each other. I mean these two really rarely fight. Sara loves loves LOVES her little sister, and Della loves Sara too but I think Sara can sometimes be a little overbearing for Dell.

Not a day goes by I don't thank my Father in Heaven for these two incredible little girls. They're a lot of work, but oh so worth it. It's funny how you can love two things that are so incredibly different, but I love one just as much as I love the other. I love them both more than words can describe!
