feeding the ducks

For our Monday night family home evening activity we thought it'd be fun to take the girls to the park to feed the ducks. We stopped by Maverick and bought a loaf of bread on the way, and it was a good thing we bought a new loaf instead of just using our bread, 'cause the whole thing was gone in about 5 minutes!I loved watching Della crouch down. She didn't really understand the "throwing" part 'til later and just kept trying to feed them right out of her hand.After watching her big sister a few times she finally got it...As you can see, this is her face after a duck ate her piece. She was so proud of herself.It really was a neat park. There were a lot of ducks and you could fish the pond too. They also had a little walking path around the whole lake/pond, and some fun waterfalls.This was the only picture Sara would let me take of her and it was because she was sitting with Daddy. I feel so bad because I really do try to take pictures of my kids but it is probably one of the hardest things EVER!! I can't get a good picture of them to save my life, and just forget about getting a cute one of them together! ...Unless they're sitting on Daddy's lap.
