26.2 in 4:16

Well he did it again. Ryan ran 26.2 miles, this time- in 4 hours and 16 minutes! So he didn't reach his goal of under 4 hours, but this was his best time out of the 4 marathons he's run. My brother Ty ran it with him and did amazing for his first marathon. Actually, I think anyone would be proud to have his time no matter what number marathon it was. He finished about a half hour before Ryan. I know Whitney was pretty excited to see him run by- she was nervous for him.
After Ty finished he got the kids some popsicles and was able to come back to the sidelines to watch Ryan finish with us. Ryan didn't even see us 'til the last second- I pretty much had to scream his name to get him to realize we were there. He said everyone was cheering so loud he didn't think it was for him! Kyle also ran the race. He and Ryan stayed together for most of it, and Kyle finished about five minutes after Ryan. I sure am proud of all three of them! Now I'm hearing talk about doing the Grand Slam next year!?! Makes me tired just thinking about it.Ty and Ryan with their medals after the race. I really can't believe Ryan has run four marathons. I honestly thought it was going to be a one time deal. Ya know, someone who wanted to run a marathon at least once in their lifetime- not Ryan. I guess he really just has a love for running. I have a feeling we'll be watching him cross many more finish lines.
