I had to take a picture of Riley's girlfriend Jessica with her prize. She didn't stop talking about this jar full of gumballs all night and how she just HAD to win it and even if she didn't, she was taking it from whoever did win. It was the "estimation game" you had to try and estimate/guess how many gumballs were in the jar and whoever got the closest won the prize. It was funny 'cause I've actually won this game like 2 or 3 other years so we always kid how it's my favorite game. Well, once everyone guessed Cathie read all the estimates and I was only FIVE numbers off!! But Jessica's guess was closer by FOUR! She was only ONE number off the actual amount! I couldn't believe it, I would have won. So I kept teasing her but she was so ecstatic about winning the gumballs she didn't care. It was pretty funny.
There's also a costume contest, that Ryan has won like the last 4 years but guess who won again! Jessica! and Riley. They were Jasmine and Aladin. I have to admit it was pretty cute. So we didn't win that either. Our only hope was the pumpkin carving contest. But... again- no winners in our family :( First year ever our family didn't win anything! But it was still so fun! We love Grandma Good's Halloween Party!
They always serve dinner first then all the kids get ready to go get some candy. Sara was so excited! It's impossible to get a good pic of my girls together both looking, but I thought this was cute with their trick or treat bags that match their costume. Lia also had a candy corn bag that matched hers too! These two went to about 6 cars and were ready to go! That, and their small bags were already full. It really was so cute watching them though.
Monday was Halloween and Sara's school carnival. I didn't get any pictures of her at school, but I got this cute one of her and Lia right before.
That night we took the girls to Salt Lake to go trick-or-treating in Ry's parents neighborhood. It's fun to go there because his parents, Grandparents, and two of his uncles live within walking distance of each other, so we took them trick-or-treating to each one.
Here are some better pictures of each girl in their costume, since they refuse to get one together. I got Sara and Della's costume ideas on Pinterest and attempted to make them myself. I didn't have any directions to go off or anything. I just saw a picture and thought "I can do that" I thought they turned out pretty cute for someone who's never made a costume before. Here are my first time trick-or-treaters. Sara was a little nervous, but Della was just loving every minute of going from house to house for free candy! Of course right when we get back Sar dumps out her candy bag and starts lining it all up. She has this thing for lining things up, whether it's squinkies, rocks, toys and I guess candy! Kind of funny. So that was our fun filled Halloween weekend! The older my girls get the more fun Halloween is. Hope everyone else had a Happy Happy Halloween!
